The only certification required in our industry is the 3-day Water Restoration Technician (WRT) certification. This provides the basic knowledge base for our work. The Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification Institute (IICRC) is a non-profit organization that certifies and sets standards for the inspection, cleaning and restoration industries. The International Institute of Restoration courses include information on fire and water restoration, cleaning and contractors.
Water Restoration Specialist, Fire Restoration Specialist, Mold Specialist, Disaster Estimation Specialist, Disaster Recovery Specialist, Class Enrollment Some course sponsors combine the Water Restoration Technician course with the Applied Structural Drying (ASD) course in a five-day course.
